Hammerfest LNG plant (2005)

Dockwise executed the logistical management for the delivery of of 3 large modules for the Hammerfest LNG plant of Statoil in 2005. An LNG process unit of 32,000 tons, a Cold Box Module and a Station Unit were transported on the semi-submersible vessels Blue Marlin, Swan and the Tern from various locations in Europe to the installation location in Hammerfest. The sea and land transport were executed in cooperation with Fagioli and executed for Statoil. Risks were minimized due to the total transport solution as delivered. In a similar project, four large modules were transported by Dockwise vessels for Statoil's Snøhvit project in the Barentsz Sea. The cooling tower, meg unit and substation were transported by the Swan and Tern respectively. Blue Marlin contributed to this successful project with the transportation of the 33,000-ton process plant.
